Pure Parima was founded in late 2018. Although they’re a newcomer to the industry, they’re slowly but surely establishing a reputation for selling luxury bedding whose Egyptian cotton designation isn’t just a marketing label. While many “100% Egyptian cotton” sheets are actually made of blended cotton, Pure Parima’s are certified by the Cotton Egypt Association to be 100% Egyptian cotton.
This certification means that these sheets are confirmed to be sourced from the type of extra long-staple cotton required for high-end cotton sheets. 100% Egyptian cotton sheets are a luxury product because their long fibers make sure they’re soft, strong, silky, and durable, whereas the short fibers found in regular cotton and cotton blends result in rougher and weaker sheets that don’t last as long.
Currently, Pure Parima’s product line includes one duvet cover, one sheet set, and the option to purchase both in a bedding bundle. The Yalda sheet set is made out of extra long-staple Giza Egyptian cotton from the Nile River Valley. The sheets are produced with a sateen weave and a 400 thread count. The sheets are available in all of the regular sizes, except for Twin, as well as four color options.

Pure Parima Sheet Design Options
As with many 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, color options for Pure Parima’s sheets are limited to four neutral colors: white, ivory, tan, and grey. These sateen woven sheets are also only sold as sets — sheets and pillowcases are not available for individual purchase.
Materials and Construction
Pure Parima’s Yalda sheet set is made out of 100% Egyptian cotton that is grown in the Nile River Valley. This cotton is certified by the Cotton Egypt Association, which means it’s been DNA-tested for purity and meets a number of specific manufacturing standards. The cotton is also certified by OEKO-TEX, demonstrating that it’s made without harmful chemicals. The cotton’s extra-long fibers are woven in a sateen weave, a popular style for cotton sheets that provides a silky, smooth, and cool texture similar to that of satin. It has a 400 thread count, which is very high for cotton and makes it simultaneously soft and durable.
The only drawback with these sheets is their relatively high maintenance requirements, which we’ll go over in detail below.
Cleaning and Care for Pure Parima Sheets
Because Pure Parima sheets are made out of real Egyptian cotton, they come with detailed care instructions that can be found on their website. While they aren’t as high-maintenance as pure silk sheets, you must devote some attention to caring for them. You can’t just throw them in the wash like you might with cheap polyester sheets. You also can’t follow the washing instructions for lower-quality, short-staple cotton sheets. These are a luxury bedding product and require extra care to maintain them.
Pure Parima sheets can be machine-washed but with a list of stipulations:
- Each set must be washed separately with pillowcases turned inside out.
- Only cold water and mild, biodegradable liquid detergent should be used.
- Fabric softeners, chlorinated bleach, and stronger detergents should not be used as they can degrade the cotton.
- If there are stains, follow special stain removal instructions on the Pure Parima website.
After washing, line-drying is recommended, although a machine dryer at a low-heat setting can be used if absolutely necessary. The sheets can be safely ironed but only on a low-heat setting.
