Casper launched in 2014 and quickly gained popularity with its affordable bed-in-a-box mattress. The company has continued to grow and now offers multiple mattress styles, pillows, bed frames, foundations, bedding, and additional accessories.

The dedicated team of researchers and engineers at the Casper Labs takes customer feedback and sleep research into consideration. As a result, Casper continuously improves its flagship mattress design while adding innovative items to its product line. In addition, the company donates and recycles mattresses and bedding while also volunteering with local non-profit organizations.

Casper’s focus on affordable, high-quality products that promote a restful night’s sleep has led to the launch of three sheet sets with different designs and materials: the Airy Linen, Cool Supima, and Weightless Cotton sheets. Each sheet set is breathable and lightweight, though they differ in overall feel. All three are backed by a 100-night sleep trial and 1-year warranty.

The Airy Linen sheets are made from Belgian flax linen, which has a natural textured feel and wicks away heat and moisture. The Cool Supima sheets are made of California-grown, long-staple Supima cotton with a soft feel. The Weightless Cotton sheets are long-staple cotton with a hybrid twill weave for added softness. Read on for our full review of these three styles of Casper sheets.

Materials and Construction

  • Cool Supima: The Casper Cool Supima sheets are made out of 100% California-grown Supima cotton. This type of cotton has long-staple fibers, making it longer and stronger than traditional cotton fibers. Long-staple means that there are fewer ends per square inch of fabric, resulting in a softer, smoother feel. The softness of the Supima cotton also increases with each wash, though the material does wrinkle easily. These 400, 2-ply thread count sheets are woven with a breathable percale weave. This results in a light, crisp feel to the sheets that provides a cool night’s sleep. The cotton also wicks away heat and moisture. The elastic band of the fitted sheets is thicker than the average fitted sheet, resulting in a tight grip around the mattress. For easier use, the company puts the Casper tag on the fitted sheet as a visual cue to know which side is the top and the bottom. These sheets are OEKO-TEX 100 certified, meaning they are made without the use of harmful chemicals. The Cool Supima sheets have the most variety when it comes to color options.
  • Weightless Cotton: The Weightless Cotton sheets are made out of 100% long-staple cotton. These 360 thread count sheets are woven with a hybrid twill weave, which results in a softer, lighter feel that is naturally wrinkle-resistant. The sheets are ultra-lightweight and get softer with each wash. The Weightless Cotton sheets also have the Casper tag and a grippy elastic band on the fitted sheet. These sheets are OEKO-TEX 100 certified as well. Available in simpler color options, this is a classic cotton sheet set at an affordable price point.
  • Airy Linen: The Airy Linen sheets are made out of 100% Belgian flax linen. These sheets are pre-washed for added softness. Linen is naturally textured, so these sheets may not feel as smooth as the cotton sheet options. These sheets also wrinkle easily. However, they are still soft with a relaxed feel. The Belgian flax linen promotes airflow and wicks away moisture for a cool, comfortable night’s sleep. The linen also adds durability to the sheets. The Airy Linen sheets have a strong elastic band on the fitted sheet for a secure fit, and the Casper tag identifies the top and bottom. These sheets have a tailored piping for a more luxurious look and are available in four neutral colors. The Airy Linen sheets are the highest-priced of Casper’s three sheet styles. All of the Casper sheets are backed by a 100-night sleep trial and 1-year limited warranty.

Casper Sheet Design Options

When it comes to selecting new sheets for your bed, design is an important element. The color and design options available differ for each of the Casper sheet sets, so this may be a determining factor in selecting which sheets are right for you. The Cool Supima sheets have the most variety, including a few two-tone designs. The Airy Linen and Weightless Cotton styles have more limited options available. These are detailed below.

Cleaning and Care for Casper Sheets

Caring properly for your sheets extends their lifespan, so it is important to follow the provided care instructions. Casper sheets are designed to be durable and to get softer with each wash. Casper provides the same care instructions for all of its sheet options.

The company recommends washing the sheets when you first receive them, and the sheets are constructed to account for the sheets shrinking to size after the first wash. The Casper bed sheets are machine-washable and should be washed in cold water on the gentle cycle. Non-chlorine bleach can be used if needed. Tumble-dry the sheets on low and remove them promptly to prevent wrinkling. For the Cool Supima sheets, Casper recommends ironing with a warm iron. While the Weightless Cotton sheets are naturally wrinkle-resistant, they can be ironed as needed. If you iron the Airy Linen sheets, Casper recommends laying a damp t-shirt or thin towel over the sheets as you iron. Casper sheets should be washed every one to two weeks.
