Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Mattress Performance
The Aurora mattress does a stand-up job at preventing motion transfer, especially in the Soft and Medium models that conform more to the body. The combination of foams in the comfort layer effectively isolates motion to limit disruptions from a partner moving in bed.
With a strong support core of innerspring coils, the Aurora has better edge support than mattresses that are entirely made of foam. You can expect some light compression when you sit on the edge of the bed, but it won’t completely collapse or give out.
Brooklyn Bedding has included multiple features in the Aurora to help it sleep cool. The phase-change material, TitanCool, absorbs and releases heat, preventing it from being retained by your body or the mattress. Additionally, the infusion of copper into the Energex foam and gel in the memory foam combat heat retention.
As is the case with virtually any mattress that includes foam, there will be some detectable scent when you first unpack the Aurora. This smell is typically mild and goes away within hours.
The hybrid design of the Aurora has earned it high marks for support. The coils are responsive and stable, creating a meaningful base for the comfort layers. Those layers, made with a mixture of foams, can give cushioning to the body in the places where it is most needed.
The use of memory, TitanFlex, and Energex foams allows this mattress to conform to the body and provide a responsive sleeping surface. At the same time, the innerspring coils hedge against excessive sink. Among the three models, the Soft will have the highest level of sink and conforming.
The Aurora mattress is a relatively new product for Brooklyn Bedding, so there is no data about how well it lasts over many years of use. But based on the quality of the materials in its construction, all signs are that this will be a very durable mattress.
The resilience from the innerspring coils and the TitanFlex and Energex foams give this bed the bounce that is needed to accommodate sex.

What Type of Sleeper is Suited to the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Mattress?
As a result of its hybrid construction and different firmness choices, the Aurora mattress can be a great choice for virtually any sleeper. However, certain sleepers, based on their sleeping position and weight, may be a better match for specific models of the Aurora.
Side sleepers: side sleepers of any weight can have a great experience on any of the Aurora models. People over 230 pounds typically will do best with the Medium or Firm, people under 130 with the Firm, and people in-between the Soft or Medium.
Back sleepers: most back sleepers will get the best results with the Firm option as it can relieve pressure points without causing major sinkage into the mattress.
Stomach sleepers: as with back sleepers, people who sleep on their stomach typically benefit from a firmer mattress that is also responsive, and that’s a great description of the Firm model of the Aurora mattress.

Our Verdict
The Aurora mattress from Brooklyn Bedding is a top-notch choice for a new mattress. It uses a combination of several high-performance materials to deliver significant comfort, spinal alignment, and bounce.
With its steady base of innerspring coils, the support core ensures a foundation of responsiveness and springiness. On top of that, the foam layers relieve pressure points without sagging.
At the same time, the foams and the phase-change material keep the mattress — and you — cool through the night.
